Any cost over ~$100/night makes my accountants grumble loudly.

And a Friday excursion to the museum, while likely highly interesting,
also likely adds another night in the hotel.  I do not like redeyes.

Transportation between SFO and the valley is also problematic,
so far as I know at present.  Renting a car is a deal breaker.
